Poem of the Day: Are You Twine?

ARE YOU TWINE?
by
Gregory K.

A tired, shredded, tangled string
Was taking a rest in its cot.
A passing swine asked “are you twine?”
It answered “No, I’m a frayed knot.”

Greg, thanks for my first laugh of the morning. Very clever.

Clear, suscinct, bright as the morning sun,
I wondered where the poetry went,
I wondered with everyone..

Sharing, thinking, my pen takes on new life,
sharing what the morning brings,
sunshine, and new life..

At the end of the day,
love finds its answer.
And people begin to rest..

and how one feels,
is what one gets,
as life begins its test..

At the end of the day,
we all find our home,
and love is a gift to be shared..

as the sun begins to set,
the moon dances again,
and we are cleansed with love in the air..

What do you do when you live in a show,
you find the mate to the pair..
and as easy as it sounds,
you look and you look..
like the sock that vanished into thin air...

What do you do, when you live in a shoe, and the mate is nowhere to be found..
rest assured, that when life is a blurr, that you are still walking on common ground...

Okay, Mr. P. You've been telling that joke for 23 years now (that I know of). Time to update your humor inventory. :-P

Sure, but I put it into VERSE, I tell ya. Besides, since I'm now 29 (cough cough), I think there's no harm in getting these things out of my system....
