Melancholy Valentines - a Valentine's Day poem

Melancholy Valentines
by
Gregory K.

I got two dozen Valentines.
I look at them with sorrow.
Sure, today, they mean "be mine" -
But what about tomorrow?

May your day be full of candy hearts and lots of chocolate (no matter what day you end up here, in fact!).

Nice counterpoint to all the sugary treacle-ness of the day... and as always, funny!
Good job, Greg.
Namaste,
Lee

Your poem is most appropriate Greg. The story of St. Valentine, though full of love, is also full of sorrow. Lovely -- I'm going to tweet this.
