Telling Fibs!
Today over at Katie Davis's blog, I'm encouraging everyone to tell Fibs. In fact, I'm even giving instructions on how to do it. I hope you'll go check it out.

Thoughts, opinions, and ramblings about (broadly) children's literature from my perspectives as a writer, parent, and volunteer elementary school librarian. Plus I post Fibs, Oddaptations and poetry galore, all listed on the right and left hand sides of the blog.
Get every one of my original poems emailed to you the day it's posted.

Gregory,
We had to have our cat Abby put to sleep in early April. She was old, had a heart murmur and congestive heart failure. She had been with us for almost sixteen years. Both my husband and I miss her presence. I wanted to write a poem about her--and the Fib seemed the perfect poetic form for what I wanted to express:
Cat
Soft
Furry
Purry friend
Cuddler on the couch
My comforter curled beside me
