And being able to choose is the key to most everything, isn't it? It's a good poem to use for a text example to show perspective/opinion. Kids would love to write some opinions in poetry.
It is a key, isn't it? The stats on a kid finishing a book they choose vs. a book they're told to read are pretty telling.
I agree kids would like to write opinions in poetry. I wish them better luck coming up with a title than I had, however!
