Poem Poem -- a poem

POEM POEM
by
Gregory K.

I wrote a verse about a nurse.
I wrote a rhyme about the time.
I wrote haiku about the view.
I wrote an ode about a toad.
I wrote a sonnet about a bonnet.
I wrote a ballad about a salad.

But here’s what I can’t figure out...
What can I write a poem about?

(I'm posting an original poem-a-day through April in celebration of National Poetry Month. Links to this and other poems here on GottaBook (and there are lots of others, because poetry is NOT just for April) are collected over on the right of the blog under the headline "The Poems".)

  1. Gregory,

You could write a poem about xylem and phloem!

    That poem is so cute!

Oh, and ignore Elaine. You should SO write about golems and phlegm instead.

  3. I was thinking loam or comb but apparently they aren't perfect ryhmes. So your only choice, according to RhymeZone is jeroboam.

Or was that a rhetorical question? :)

Keep up the good work! I enjoy your poems!

  4. Yes, Elaine, but Joyce Sidman beat me to it. And Kelly, I agree!
