Poem of the Day: A Strange, Strange Mirror

A STRANGE, STRANGE MIRROR
by
Gregory K.

I looked into my mirror just to see what I would see.
Would you believe I saw your face there staring back at me?
Every other detail was exactly in its place.
The reflection would be perfect if it didn’t have your face.
Now how you got there I don’t care, and I don’t have to know,
But I really would appreciate it if you’d simply GO.

    says it:
    ‘won’t need no
    hair cut, no shoe shine
    after the garden is gone’

    blunt
    real
    listen
    to his words
    we need more voices
screaming out this kind of stuff – NOW!

I can't say that I have been moved by the fibs - perhaps I lack the soul to appreciate them - but your poem of the day has been something I have appreciated. It has started my day with a smile. I read many of them to my boys. The breath-holding poem was an all round favourite.

A WE all have a passion
    we all have a dream..
    as likeley as it passes,
as uncommonly it is to be seen..

    Share what you gather,
    share it with a friend..
and soon you'll find your passion,
to share with your greatest friend

    Who
    what
    where why when
    A few things to consider
when the light begins to bend

    A nova shedding its aura
the color of our own to see
    and then the world's effervesance
is plain for all to see
