I also purchased personal copies of some books that were extremely popular--books that I wanted to be sure I'd have on hand when I needed them. That's one reason why I don't have a timeshare in Florida or a second home in ski country. I've spent so much money on children's books.Elaine Magliarohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09829330276633865868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22755318.post-84378743746641175512007-11-30T12:18:00.000-08:002007-11-30T12:18:00.000-08:00I have a "story shelf" in my office that is really...I have a "story shelf" in my office that is really four shelves' worth of books I keep there so I can use them whenever I want to read them aloud. No one else is allowed to touch them, although, that said, I always make sure I have extra copies to keep out on the circulating shelves.

On a similar note, whenever school groups visit our library, they aren't allowed to check out books--BUT I always encourage them to hide books and demand that their parents bring them back to the library after school so that they can retrieve them and check them out. I know it's causing chaos in the world, but the kids really enjoy it (as do I).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22755318.post-5188454125336136122007-11-30T10:10:00.000-08:002007-11-30T10:10:00.000-08:00Hmmmm . . . so you're the one who hid those books!...Hmmmm . . . so you're the one who hid those books!Lisa Yeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14996451632755795135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22755318.post-39150093711588888692007-11-30T08:37:00.000-08:002007-11-30T08:37:00.000-08:00Now I have never tried either of those books.
