Janet Wong - Look for Birds

Oh! And as if that is not enough... here's Janet Wong herself with a video version for us all....

"Look for Birds" by Janet Wong from Pomelo Books on Vimeo.

How wonderful, yes? Yes, much like her books themselves or the amazing work she's doing with for children's poetry (and poets and teachers and students) with Sylvia Vardell over at Pomelo Books. I hope you go and check all that out... and I hope you can spend some time looking for birds.

Can I say typical Janet Wong because I mean it in the best way? It's a poem that pulls you in, helps you see more, shares truth and hope. I love the poem, her card and her video. Truth in advertising, Janet is a friend, but I admire the honesty in her poems, her gift for packing so much into poems that children and those young at heart will like. Thank you, again, Greg.
Your sharing is a delight.

If I could, I'd copy and paste Janet Clare's comments exactly. Every single word.❤️

Thank you, Gregg, for sharing that beautiful poem. I already tweeted it out and asked Janet if I could add it plus the video to my newest gallery collection, #NatureNurtures2020. If you have an image poem to share with that theme, please check out my invitation. https://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2020/04/nature-nurtures-special-invitation.html

I have loved the various stories using the theme "things could always be worse." So glad to see it here. Thanks for sharing. And yes... I'm always looking for birds!
